Keynote Speaker – Anthony Marquart

Anthony Marquart is the President of Royalty Developments Ltd. A real estate development company headquartered and active in Regina. Anthony has been President since 2003. Developments include hotels, office buildings, shopping centres, residential buildings, and downtown, industrial and farmland.

Anthony is also the President of Queen City Sports & Entertainment Group Ltd., which last year purchased the Regina Pats Hockey Club. The Regina Pats are the oldest major junior hockey franchise in the world that have continuously operated from their original location. The team began operations in 1917 and is named after the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry during the First World War.

This history resonates throughout Canada as the coveted Memorial Cup was named to honour Canada’s First World War casualties. This proud franchise has appeared in fourteen (14) Memorial Cups with three (3) Memorial Cup championships in 1925, 1930 and 1974.

In addition to his real estate development and sports/entertainment efforts, over the past ten (10) years, Anthony has been an active volunteer board member of the Regina Downtown Business Improvement District, an organization committed to improving conditions for businesses and those who work, shop, live and play in downtown Regina.

As well, Anthony has also given back to the community by donating both his time and profits to charities, schools and organizations that embody the true spirit of making the city of Regina, province of Saskatchewan and society as a whole, a better place.

Anthony and his wife Nanette have four children, Kenneth, Mila, Vianne and Colin.

Big Thanks to AJ Scales at Complete MMA for hosting the UFC promo night with Big Brothers and teaching a few littles how to take down a few bigs.
